Welcome to our new UAW Region 5 website.
The primary goal of this website is to inform and assist non-union workers who are interested in being represented by the UAW, a Union of All Workers!
These are hard times for American workers. Employers across the country are cutting pay, reducing benefits, and laying off workers. Many bosses treat their employees unfairly and without respect - showing a blatant disregard for their years of service, their dedication, or for that matter, their health and safety.
Its time to put a stop to these worsening conditions and there is only one way to do it – ORGANIZE the unorganized! Why UAW? Almost 75 years ago, the UAW Union was founded during a time of deep economic crisis not unlike today. At that time, workers stood up and demanded their right to a better life. Today, polls show that a majority of Americans would choose to belong to a union if given the opportunity.
If you are working without union representation, this is your opportunity to organize today. If you are currently a member of the UAW Union then use the organizing referral form to help us reach out to a family member, neighbor, or friend who is currently working in a non-union workplace and is interested in winning the benefits of UAW membership.
